Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Türkiye Durmuş Ünüvar stated that Türkiye's foreign trade volume has reached $606 billion, its service exports have reached $117 billion, and the logistics sector accounts for 35% of this figure with approximately $41 billion in service exports. He said: "We see logistics, which provides one dollar out of every 3 dollars of service exports, as the strategic backbone of the economy. Our Türkiye is in a position to access 67 countries, 1.5 billion people, and a market producing $55 trillion GDP within a 4-hour flight. Our goal is to transform this location into a regional and global logistics hub with smart, digital, green, sustainable, resilient technologies and transport infrastructure. We aim to raise our Logistics Performance Index. We operate with the goal of zero delays, zero documents, and zero waste in logistics. In addition to our infrastructure investments and mega-projects, which have reached a total size of $300 billion in the last 23 years, we are taking steps towards master plan studies and single-corridor management with stakeholder countries for the Middle Corridor and the Development Road, which are gaining importance globally. We closely follow international developments; we develop policies in line with our national interests. We attach great importance to technological transformation. Logistics processes are being reshaped, from AI-powered routing systems to autonomous vehicles. As the Ministry, we are also rapidly expanding digitalization with applications such as e-Government, UETDS systems, digital transit documents, e-CMR, and intelligent transportation systems. Today, every load and every kilometer traveled has a carbon footprint. We are seriously addressing the issue of sustainability, and we are also focusing on financial support systems that will enhance our competitiveness."
